Tissot T0914204720701 wrist watches news:
Many trains and hubs have been built America, but in most places we don't use train stations like we used to. A major exception to this is Grand Central Station in New York City. Probably the most famous train station in the USA, Grand Central station is a piece of history, and an enduring testament to industrialized people moving.Trains also needed to be on time. Brands like Ball and Hamilton like to discuss their heritage in making "railroad" watches that were used to reliably keep trains running on schedule. Aside from train tracks, the second most important type of fixture in a station are the clocks. Time is inherently linked to train stations, and checking your watch to make sure you don't miss your train is part of the experience.Give this notion, and the simple fact that it was a good place to catch people on a daily basis, 60 years ago a small watch repair stand opened in Grand Central Terminal simply called Central Watch Band. I found this one on eBay. The pictures were terrible, and it was sold as a lot with 2 beat up ladies watches. I've done little more than replace the crystal so far. IMG_8317a.JPGIMG_8318a.JPG
I just changed the black rubber strap to the white. The watch pops alot more now.
Hi,I love the AP RO and like to buy either a 15300ST or a 15400ST.I like them both but was wondering which one, longer term, will keep its value best? Ie, which one is the best investment (or least worse investment as a watch like this is never a good investment imho). Both use the same calibre but the 15300ST is more like the 'Jumbo' in size, so this makes it maybe more interesting longer term?On the other hand the 15400ST is 41mm which seems to be the 'new norm' (cfr Datejust 2).If I look at older RO's (ones of 36mm for instance) they seem to have lost a lot of value so I wonder if the same couldn't happen with the 15300ST a few years from now...Thanks for your thoughts on this!
