- I have had this watch for weeks now but have yet to wear it. My husband couldn't get links out so that it would fit me, so I have to take it somewhere to have it adjusted. This is very inconvenient and will cost me.

Breitling Breitling 16013 wrist watches news:
Living in the UK and speaking to watch-lovers and people connected to the watch industry, conversations inevitably veer towards the phenomenon that is Bremont. Of note, of course, is the seemingly meteoric rise of the brand out of nowhere, and now, in its twelfth year in 2013, it has five main collections, a number of sold-out limited editions, and legions of fans among celebrities and watch-lovers alike.Just take a look at their website if you are unfamiliar with the brand, and allow the sleek and clean presentation seduce you into wanting to own one of their watches. I know this, because every single one of the people I have spoken to about Bremont in the UK, references that one experience when a shift occurred that told them that this brand was pretty cool. It¡¯s no wonder that I consider founders Nick and Giles English of Bremont as ace marketers at the highest level. It takes a high level of understanding of the motivations of the watch-buying public to build a brand that causes peo
I had this interesting comparison between a real and a counterfeit Sub Date "LV" in my bookmarks. The article was originally posted by a German, as far as I recall, and also posted by me on another forum.NOTE: The RIGHT watch one on the pics is ALWAYS the REAL one!
Only one glimp and you know the time..Extremely comfy on the wristAnd for me the perfect size...If there had to be only one....The Mighty Sub....
I do not often buy watches from "Stan Czubernat" <lrfantiquewatches@yahoo.com>, not because he does not do fine work, indeed in my opinion he may do it too well. So why do I not buy from Stan? Because I am a purist in my thoughts on horology, I want the timepiece to stay as close as it was to its original state, patina, warts and all.So why did I buy this silver 1918 Elgin with offset crown? Well, the watch is 100% original, albeit with the case over polished, BUT, as this timepiece originally never had a lumed dial or hands, Stan had nothing to change there, he just cleaned them up.So now we have a very early and quite unique early American wristwatch, with its original dial, hands, movement and case and the case is just a bit over polished - decided it was acceptable to me. But why?We know very well now that no American 'true' mans wristwatch existed prior to 1916 (and probably none of those were sold), Elgin and Waltham promoted the mans wristwatch very strongly against
Just got grandpop's WW II era rose gold Bulova back from service, and shot it with the ladies version from the same era. Windy doesn't wear this too often, she likes the white gold 1924 art deco watch better. I wear mine though on ooccasion, and if you take a look you can tell this was not babied. I didn't want the dings taken out of the hoods covering the lugs, this watch has a history of service and it's scars are it's character. Family heirlooms are truly priceless.ps - BOGO does apply here! I obviously inherited my watch, and a few years later I purchased the ladies version at an estate sale. I find it funny when I have to explain to someone why I bought an "old" watch instead of a new one for my girlfriend. Sometimes these same people understand antique furniture but not watches. I've gotten so tired of explaining it I've even just said they both were my grandparent's watches - a necessary fib I guess. Anyway, I'm off to the Phillies / Rockies game tonight so that means th
