Simply black: Alain Silberstein¡¯s surprise take on Horological Machine No 2What happens when that master of glorious colour, French high-end watch designer Alain Silberstein, is let loose with MB&F¡¯s Horological Machine No2? The surprising answer is a new, all-black case that epitomises Bauhaus purity and restraint. The new model, called Horological Machine No2.2, is known affectionately in-house as ¡°the black box¡±. It will be issued in a limited edition of eight watches. MB&F is a company founded 4 years ago by the former head of Harry Winston Timepieces, Maximilian B¨¹sser, and is dedicated to designing and crafting small series of radical concept watches in collaboration with talented professionals. The new case by Alain Silberstein houses the same groundbreaking ¡°engine¡± as Horological Machine No2, introduced in 2008 and featuring the world¡¯s first mechanical movement combining an instantaneous jumping hour, concentric retrograde minutes, retrograde date, bi-hemisphere moon

Hi everyone, been reading the forums for awhile and I think I have finally decided to buy my dream watch. I fell in love with the aesthetics of the Royal Oak many years ago but didn't know too much about it at the time. The more I find out about it, the more I see it's value and respect all the work put in to creating a piece like it.I only have 2 nicer watches so far (Rolex Milguass GV for work and a U-Boat Flightdeck Beige for fun) and I was originally going to add a white faced Calibre de Cartier with steel band to my collection. I was kind of set on buying it...but after going to Japan for vacation and actually trying it on a couple times and talking to some people about it, my mind started to wander to AP...I know it's more than double the price but it's what I've always wanted so I figured what the heck?!So...here I am on the hunt for one! I went to my local AD and tried on a 15400 which is pretty much the one I am set on. My first choice would be the boutique edition blue dial b
Cellini line is slow seller i think, even after pretty nice new references after Basel -17. I wonder why Rolex does not add more complications to Cellini lineup? If there would be annual calendar, or regulator style with worldtimer... that would turn at least my eyes away from Patek
Hello, New to the site but very happy to join. I'm looking for an all black watch with leather strap and the Tudor Black Bay seems like a great fit. I'm wondering about how the PVD coating wears? Does anyone have insight on if it scratches easily or anything negative about the coating? Thanks in advance.
