Ball Watches For BMW Cars
A few months ago Ball Watches & BMW jointly announced that they would enter into an agreement to produce high-end watches from Ball for BMW. I got to see some prototypes and pictures a few months ago but was not allowed to discuss them until now. The relationship marks yet another watch brand plus car maker looking to make cool timepieces to appeal to both watch and car lovers. Will this be a success?Design-wise these are modest departures from the standard classic and sporty Ball watch fare that we tend to like. I personally am a fan of many, but not all Ball watches. The good news is that each year Ball releases enough new pieces such that there is something fresh and appealing for everyone. There seem to be two types of Omega owner - those that have 'many' and come by them very easily. Those (like me) come by them through saving up (sometimes for a considerable time).My question is this: Do the owner(s) of 'many' watches appreciate them as much as those (dare I say it, on a lower income) or those who realise you can only wear one watch at a time, irrespective of how much money you have to spend.This isn't meant to be a 'hot' topic, just a general feel for what people think about their watch(s). Also, if those who have 'many' appreciate their first, whether it was a gift or a special event purchase.Karl

Elgin dura-balance automatics
I've been interested in buy one of those Lord Elgin 760 30j automatics for quite awhile. I know these movements were supposed to be quite innovative for their time. I would like to here anyone experience with them. How well did this movement competes with its competitor of the time like Omega and Longines automatics?thanks Joe

First AP, thanks to Mosco!
Just got my first AP today, a silver dial 15400. I considered the 15400, 15300, and new 15202, and ultimately decided on the 15400 as a daily wear kind of watch. I have tried on the new 15202 and absolutely love it, so that may be my next target. I was conflicted on dial color. I usually like blue dials the best and on the 15202, it looked perfect. When I tried on different 15400s, I wasn't as sure. Ultimately Kilyung's great photos of his 15300 convinced me to go for the silver dial. So thanks Mike!I also have to give a shout out to Mosco.
