Bausele's brand slogan is "Australian Soul - Swiss Made." It should probably be changed to "Australian Soil - Swiss Made." Why? See that rather obviously too-large crown? Well, it is filled with one of three choices of dirt! Not just any dirt, Australian dirt, mate.The crown is like a little canister with a see-through window at its end. Sapphire case back
I just got my Datejust back today from service, and as fast as I got it I unscrewed the case back and screwed the sapphire case back on. Wean I finally managed to get the case back off with my amateur tools I noticed there were a black rubber ring there. I took this ring out and placed it on the new sapphire case back before I screwed it on. Wean I had screwed it on I noticed that the rubber ring was sticking out on one of the sides so I screwed it up again and tried to make it fit better before I screwed it on again. You still see a little of it on one of the sides but not much.My question is. Should I use the black rubber ring on the sapphire case back not? I am very satisfied with my sapphire case back. It was really cool to see the movement without any case back on in real life and with the sapphire case back too. I just love it I will try to add some photos tomorrow.

"All purpose" watches 38-40 mm
Depending on how much my bonus is and how much gets eaten up by "honey dos" first, I am thinking my watch for the year will be as described above. It would likely replace the Ball Fireman I in the rotation.I have tried on, and pretty much fallen in love with the 38.5 mm AquaTerra, in blue. I would like to see the new annual calendar version in the flesh, but it doesn't look as pretty as the regular date ones in pictures.I also really like the 39 mm Explorer I, and would like to own a Rolex you don't see every day.What else should I consider? Vintage is a possibility also, especially a birth-year model (1971).

Should I sell my 5960/1A?
I need some of your expertise. I bought a 5960/1A when it first came out. I love it as much today as the day I bought it. However, I've only worn it a handful of times. It's just not getting the wrist time and I don't see that changing.And while I enjoy seeing it in it's home, it's there all of the time. So, I'm thinking I may sell it. With that, do any of you connoisseurs think that this watch will greatly appreciate over time (i.e. once they stop making it) -- or should I just sell it and I'll have no financial regrets in your opinion?Yes, I know I could wear it more, but let's assume that's not an option.
