Tudor 42000-BKSBRLS wrist watches news:
The watchmaker rightly chose the time to enter the watch manufacturers arena. Japanese and Italian specialists were attracted by his watches on the first exhibition in Basel in 1987.For the first time his unique style became apparent in 1988 when the Master created a dial with red, blue and yellow hands, a colorful mechanical knob and buttons. Similar contrasts are peculiar to Alain Silberstein watches and make them beautiful and unique.
Hello everyone. I'm new to the forum and am happy I found it.I'm hoping someone might be able to help me with this watch. I bought it for my wife I believe in 1979 for around $600. I cannot locate the original sales receipt and I know for sure we don't have the box it came in. Since my wife still wears it often I don't want to try and take the back off for fear of damaging it.I have attached photos. Writing on the back reads "14K Gold L&W" and on the clasp reads "Longines 14K France". Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hey guys ! ! !There has been speculation for many years when it comes to the BEHEMOTH size 12s American Trench Watches...........................where any of them actually made ? ? ?We can now put all speculation to rest................................they do in FACT exist ! ! ! ! But, it's not an Elgin, Waltham or Illinois that has been located, it's a CROWN.Sold under the name "Crown Watch Company" but was actually made by the New York Standard Watch Company in New Jersey. The New York Standard Watch Company was owned by the Keystone Watch Case Company who also owned the Philadelphia Watch Case Company and the case maker Bates & Bacon (B&B).Yes, this will get a bit confusing, I had to re-read all of my research several times to get a grip on all of this.During the Great War era Keystone was was constantly being sued by the United States government and other watch case manufacturers.A lot of these suits had to do with the Sherman Anti-Trust Act, illegal monopolies and such.Keys
Hi Folks: The resident newbie has another basic question. I just acquired another PW a Hamilton 17Jewel 912. I went to a website much like this (see: Hamilton Pocket Watch Serial Numbers) and looked up my serial number. Accordingly its about a 1938 (or so) manufacture. But then I wondered about my other Hamilton which is a 21 Jewel 940 (SN: 941827). I was going to use the same listing of Serial Numbers but was not sure if the numbers given related to Hamiltons across ALL models or just specific ones. This also left me wondering about the veracity of the initial determination I made. I don't have a problem NOT knowing the approximate date of manufacture. I just thought it would be an interesting tidbit to have. Any thoughts on the nature of these numbers listings and how to use them? Best Wishes, Bruce
Apologies if this has been covered, but didn't see anything as of late. What is up with this piece? Why are there no live pics and no info? This was something I was actually excited about, from stock pics, possibly the best looking ROO in my opinion. This model to be exact: https://.audemarspiguet/en/wa....OO.A006CA.01/
