Tudor Tudor 51614 wrist watches news:
The best part of these timepieces is easily the box. I wasn't allowed to take pictures, but Romain Jerome showed me a sneak preview of the Space Invaders watches back in March. The idea is to recall some of the fun and playfulness, as well as the novelty of the late 1970s video game. The box is actually a light box and you place the watch inside of it. Actually the watch is already placed inside of it and there are no doors, just a peep hole. If you want to remove the watch - consider it a fun challenge (like the game). Inside the box is a black light, then when lit illuminates the lume on the dial of the Space Invader watches. It is cool and fun, and perhaps better with LSD.For me, the funnest part of the Space Invader watch story is process of Romain Jerome getting the licensing for the product from Taito in Japan. No one has ever made a high-end watch involving a video game before (I've joked about it, but this is the first legit one). By the way, I first talked about these watches
CREPAS is a fairly new boutique dive watch company based out of Southern Spain that is currently very hot in the dive watch community. CREPAS is an acronym for Compa?¨ªa Relojera Especializada para Actividades Subacu¨¢ticas (translation: Specialized Watch Company for Underwater Activities). The Tektite is CREPAS¡¯s fourth release and the limited run of 199 pieces sold out not long after it entered the pre-order phase. I was fortunate enough to be offered an incredible deal on one a couple weeks ago and I jumped on it!Unboxing photos:The white cardboard outer box.The impressive leather double-deck presentation box.I have never seen a kit this extensive before accompanying a watch in the Tektite¡¯s price range! So after a month of plotting and planning and trying to decide which watch should be my collection starter, I ended up breaking down and nabbing an impulse buy from a deal-a-day site. Well, it's not TOTALLY an impulse buy because I've had my eye on it for a while, but in 3-7 business days I will be the proud owner of this Citizen Eco-Drive Calibre 3100 w/ Perpetual Calendar:(Pic from Web. I'll be sure to post wrist shots as soon as I get it.)Perhaps not the most WIS-approved watch but I'm not ashamed of my love for a nice Eco-Drive. Plus with the deal I got it won't keep me from picking up the Orient and the Tissot Le Locle that I had planned on.
Does anyone know what has happened to the watchuseek website and forums. They seem totally inaccessible from here in australia at least? Are they off the air?
Hi,I have been looking to add an Omega to my collection. I currently have a Sea-Dweller. So, I was thinking of going for a Speedmaster as I already have a dive watch. After surfing for a while.... this beauty sings to me. Always wanted a panda dial. What do you guys think? If anyone owns it, please post actual pics and also share your experience with the watch. Thanks much.
