Tudor Tudor 24024 wrist watches news:
This is the best watch I have seen so far at Baselworld ¨C there, I said it. You may have read about the new Tudor Heritage Black Bay 36 yesterday ¨C well, I just had a chance to see it in person, and I can absolutely confirm that in the metal, and on the wrist, it's just as awesome as it looks in the official press images ¨C maybe more so. 1 OF 8 First of all, the Black Bay 36 wears incredibly well. The 36 mm stainless-steel case lies perfectly flat and is perfectly comfortable on both male and female wrists (as you can see from the pictures below). Just as importantly, it looks in proportion to the wrist, not overwhelming it or seeming too small. I find it so refreshing to see a 36 mm case from a brand I love that generally sticks to 41-43 mm cases, as I think this size really is the one that suits most (but not all) people. 2 OF 8 For her. 3 OF 8 For him. Second of all, this watch is strongly reminiscent of the much-desired Rolex Explorer r
Hi Folks!I just got an SBDB001 in a trade today and thought I would post a couple of pics for you. I'm not actually keeping the watch as I already have the MM300, so it's been traded again already :D but I know pics are always useful when you're researching your next purchase so here ya go:
Here's a chunky/funky '70's era Movado "Surf" I acquired recently. It's back from a sevice and my rehabilitation of the case. The similarity to a '70's era Zenith "Surf" is quite apparent; same hands, nearly same indices, zenith logo on dial and crown, both with cal 2572 PC movements. The case is 40mm excluding crown, which is large for the era.Just what was Movado's affiliation with Zenith during this period? Did Zenith OWN Movado? Lou? D? Anyone have information?Photo's:Crazy contours:Movement:Comparison with Zenith:My thanks.T
Received this today, couldn't be happier, the heft feels great and the finish is superb! Thanks guys for the pointers and photos!
How is a vintage case tube held in place? is it press fit or held with an adhesive?I have ordered all the new parts for the watch pictured in my avatar, but the case tube is not threaded like a Rolex one.(new case tube, crown, dial, hands, strap, gaskets..)
