Tudor Tudor 46012 wrist watches news:
Feast your eyes on one of the sexiest watch winders ever created. I will write more about it later, but this is the new GrandCircle winder by Dottling in Germany. There will only be 20 ever made. The furniture includes 52 watch winders, a safe, a bar, a clock, a cigar humidor, and yes - stereo. Dottling calls it grand, I call it Valhalla. Don't get your hopes up though, it costs 195,000 Euros.
I've been rethinking my small collection while contemplating an Explorer I.currently own:2254.50 (the classic)2252.50 (the smaller classic)2538.20 (Great White)a Norman Morris omegaDatejust 16030As I look at the Omegas, I've decided to thin out the 2254.50, which surprises me just a bit. It is the classic. But the Great White is certainly a keeper, and its proportions actually work better and seem to wear better for me. And I really like how the 2252.50 "stays out of the way" because of its size. I guess, for me, a watch over 39 or 40 mm needs to justify its size, for example the Great White or, speculatively, a Speedy Pro. Don't think I'll have any regrets. We'll see. As I watch for a good price on the Explorer.Best,Brad

My dad has asked me what watch I would like for my graduation present this year, I figured the best people to ask would be those who know a lot about watches.Originally I was dead torn between a Submariner and a Breitling Emergency Mission, already had the conversation about the radio and 'improper use' with him and a jeweller. But because of the recession, my dad being pretty hard hit as he is self employed, I think I may ask for something a little less expensive and the obvious answer to me is an Omega..omegawatches/gents/se...hrono/22105200.omegawatches/gents/se...23230465101002Both have their merits. The orange is slightly different plus I could buy the orange rubber strap to wear when on holiday or out on the boat. Though I could see other people finding it to be a little offensive and gaudy, maybe. The black is very conservative and the mesh strap is also a little different but looks very classic.Or is there anything else I am missing. All feedback welcome, a lot of you guys have
why are Patek Philippe watches so exspensive? Are all of their models solid gold?I have been told that they are possibly even better than Rolex, but they are at least 2 or 3 times more expensive. I thought Rolex was the only company in the world that made all of it's own movements, parts etc.
