- It is a quality watch that fits perfectly with my business casual attire. very pleased. the hasp is a little cumbersome, and unusual, but the watch is great. Not sure about durability of hasp yet since I recently purchased.

U-Boat 1216 wrist watches news:
Greetings all,I recently inherited an Omega in pretty bad condition. Took it into the sole Toronto Authorized Repair shop and they had to ship it out to Switzerland. The estimate came back at $1175CAD to repair and refinish. The watch is either a:- 1962 SEAMASTER (Reference BA 166.001) (18k Yellow Gold)- 1962 SEAMASTER (Reference BA 165.002) (Gold Plated)- 1968 GENEVE (Reference MD 135.0041) (Gold Plated)The repair shop I took it to noted the caliber as being 2810 but I tried looking it up on the OMEGA site and it didn't seem to exist.I know this is pretty vague - but the watch will come back in pristine shape. It is a keepsake so I do want to get it in working order, but it's REALLY only worth it if the watch is (or may become) within $200-$300 of the price to repair it.Thoughts?
How about this one.. A bit of gold, but still very nice!
Here are a few items to update you on the happenings of the Hamilton Watch forum. First, I could not sleep last night so when I went to the forum, there were 11 of you on at the same time. I think that is the most I have seen since foggy promised to peck out the strains of the William Tell overture on the Hamilton bakelite watch box collection of mgiraz. The end of March and the start of April presents a "perfect storm" for us and I mean that in a good way. April 1 is our three month anniversary (no foolin') and with a little luck, we shall hit 5,000 posts. We have already exceeded 500 threads. That's a lot of yakking, you blabbermouths. Also, March 31 at 9 pm Eastern Daylight Savings Time will end the voting for our masthead photo contest. Right now we have a four way tie. If the tie continues, we will post a runoff election to pick the winning photo. Thanks all for your pix and votes. This could go down to the wire.:eek:The first week of April is also the start of the biggest
