- Bought this for my nephew for Christmas so although he hasn't worn it yet, I've looked at it many times and it looks as good as it does on the web site.I may even buy one for myself.

Oris 748-7710-4164GRFS wrist watches news:
busy with the family and work these days! Looking to pick up another Sub this week! Still have the GMTIIC love that watch!well will try to post more in the future!
Got the call from my AD this afternoon to say the my Planet Ocean had arrived. It was a nice suprise as I was expecting it to be another couple of weeks yet as Omega had told the AD it would be a 3 week wait when I ordered it. I managed to rush into London just before closing to pick it up and I am well chuffed!!First impressions are that it is BIG BIG BIG, but that the 42mm size just looked small compared to my 300M Chrono, however the 45.5 is still lighter than the 300M Chrono. The bracelet is fantastic (think I may get half a link more taken out for a more snug fit) and feels great, and the Lume is absolutely superb!!All in all its been a great weekend (see my other thread re: bracelet) and hopefully I will be able to pick up a Speedy in another few months to go along with my Seamasters.
I am pulling together all of the information and advertising that I can locate on the Illinois Consul for an upcoming NAWCC article. I have a few new theories that I need additional data to substantiate or rule out. If anyone owns a Consul, I would GREATLY appreciate receiving an email with the following information:CASE # (6 digits inside the back)CASE TYPE (Plain or engraved?)CASE MATERIAL (white gold, green gold, or 2-tone)CENTER STAMP? (Is the center stamped "14K" or "NICKLE"?SUB SECOND? (yes or no, and location)# JEWELS (17, 19, or 21)MOVEMENT (909, 907, 601, 605, 607, or nothing if you don't know/can't tell)MOVEMENT # (7 digits engraved on movement do you think original to case?)SPECIAL ENGRAVINGS? (Is a personalized date engraved on or in the back?)DIAL TYPE (pinstripe, standard, sub 6, luminous, raised gold, etched, starburst, material, color of starburst, etcand best guess original

Hi Folks,I'm considering buying a Speedy (I think every collection needs one). The question is, which is regarded as the best - Speedmaster Pro (manual wind) or the new Coaxial?I'm a big fan of the coaxial escapement and can appreciate an automatic wind but something in my head says that the only authentic speedy is the manual wind???Which do you guys consider as THE Speedmaster?Edit: please post pics if you've got 'em.
