- Rec'd this today. The photos do not do this piece justice. Nice weight and good balance. Not overdone or tacky. You will not regret getting this watch.

- This watch is elegant and very functional. I travel for a living, and I'm yet to see someone with a watch that looks as nice as this!

U-Boat 2272 wrist watches news:
Spent the afternoon at a Beach called called Rest Bay in South Wales this afternoon with my Wife, our Son and his friend.
Ok Ganghere is one that is very scarce in the wild...This is the Illinois Southampton.Engraved BezelIf you don't have Fred's Book, "The Illinois Watch, the Life and Times of a GreatAmerican Watch" PLEASE invest in this!Plain BezelThese pop up in the wild every once in a while, butThe problem is, they tend to have Elgin movements and dials on them.As Fred notes, This dial appears in the 1930 and 1936 materials Cataloguesbut not on the List of Factory-cased Watches, there for falling into the generic Period. The caseback markers are the key to this watch and it is ALL in the markings:"I" marked is for Illinois"E" Elgin"E/I" Elgin/IllinoisMine happen to have the "E-I"(Fahys)FJF Notes:Difficult to find in any combo especially YGF/GGFRarity: 3/6 to 6/6Case Makers: Fahys, IWCC, Others.Lug Size: 16mmMovement Size 6/0Case#: noneMovements: 605/15J 607/17As Fred points out, This Dial is VERY elusive.BELIEVE meHe is right!Sides:Back:Movement:There is a note in Fred's book that there is one example
Could someone post a photo of a Hamilton Jazzmaster Mens Auto SS H32555135? The only pictures I've been able to find are the black and white, almost diagram-like ones. You can't really tell if the face is too busy from that.
Just sized it last night and wore it to work today....Sorry for the giant crappy pics, i'll take some better shots next weekOn the way into workIn the control room (set it to our show time)View outside the control roomBack to my office
Last year I picked up my first two Rollies... TT Bluesy Sub and a YM2SS. I am addicted. I somewhat regret I don't have that classic SS Sub Black look in my collection. But I have decided I don't want a second sub since I feel either the DS 43 or 44 can give me a similar look in black and they are bigger bezels which works better on my bigger wrist...My question, I like that the 43 has a cyclops. Why doesn't the 44 have the cyclops? Which one would you all go for and which one do you think is better long term?As of now I am leaning towards the 43 with the red lettering and the cyclops...
