Philip Stein 1FFSMOPZB wrist watches news:
Choosing a name for a business or logo these days is very difficult. In fact, coming up with good brandable names has always been difficult. One needs to come up with a strong term which is suggestive of the product or service without being too limiting. The process is fulfilling, but more tedious that it seems.Take one of the strongest business names to date: International Business Machines, or IBM. This company started making type writers and now makes the most complex of business computer systems. A name that was as relevant 100 years ago as it is today. Remarkable really. Back then you had to worry about trademarking a name, along with consumer receptivity. Today you need to worry about domain name availability and a much more saturated landscape of taken or generic names. The best branding these days comes from unique uses of existing words, or modifications of existing words. The tech and internet world has brought forth the greatest ingenuity in name branding in the last 10 years
The Glycine Combat model is one of my favorite watches. Its beautiful dial is super readable in any condition, the large face is immediately noticeable but the slim case makes the watch super comfortable to wear even under a shirt. I like this so much that I have two of these, one of which I wanted to use for a special project. The original one has now a mesh bracelet and other then that it is totally original, works great, keeps incredible time and is one of my favorite watches. The second watch is a different story and it has been a planned project for some months. Yesterday after Thanksgiving dinner and the Pumpkin pie I found myself with half an hour during which I did not what to do. I decided to go ahead with the project and did it. This consisted simply in replacing the original hands with some pilot style hands to change the looks a bit. The hands by the way come from Mr. Roland Kemmner a gentleman WIS who was very kind and extremely helpful in sending them to me for this
So, first and foremost I have only recently even began to consider AP as an add to my small collection and one single watch fits the bill.....the ROC. Now I'd love either a blue or black dial but know nothing about the AP market. I know msrp is about 23k but beyond that, what should I expect to pay at an AD? what discounts have you guys worked out? hows the value retention? Stepping from Rolex into another brand feels like walking through a mine field! But man thats a damn fine watch
what is the equivalent of 16610 in breitling.40mm size but rated at 300Mnot to thick and heavy.Thank you.
I went to an AD today with the bona fide intention of purchasing a Sea Dweller, but they are just too small and do not have enough heft. I had seen so many impressive photos that I thought I would automatically wander forever into Rolex land.I really thought the Sea Dweller would have a more substantial appearance. They are good looking and well built I suppose, but niether of these had a comparable feel to my Omega 300 Chrono Diver. If anything, the experience convinced me that a Planet Ocean would be a better choice for me. The Sea Dweller and Sub, just had a generic feel like most every other watch. Each to his own I suppose. I just expected to be a bit more impressed with the Rolex and thought that trying one on would forever convince me. It was a bit of a let down. I was curious as to whether anyone else thinks the sub and Sea Dweller need to go up a size for the sake of gravitas. Price really was not a consideration and I was curious as to whether anyone else felt the sa
