Omega 111066 wrist watches news:
Now, I know how getting your first Brand New Rolex feels, it simply feels great I couldn't wait until Christmas, so I went today to the AD, and picked up my V series 16610 Submariner, I'm still working on having some pictures, but will post them tomorrow, with my impressions of the watch tooHonestly, Rolex didn't call me, until I got my first one back in June, then I realized, that I'm a Rolex Guy and planned to get my first brand new one in 2010, but things happened and my AD failed to bring other of my orders (Omega Moonwatch and Tag Carrera), so the money went directly to the Sub purchase, and well it's here nowHave a read on this article, and you will know the feeling:rolexreferencepage/articles/1.htmlAnd indeed, having a new Rolex, is like tasting a fine wine, or in my case, as I don't drink any alcohol like having some of the finest Swiss Chocolate, ready to be melt in your mouth Pics tomorrow, promise!
I picked up an old "GAMMA" watch today at an estate sale. Unusually, it seems to have an all-stainless case with a screw-in back. The crystal, of course, is acrylic. The dial says "Gamma" and "17 jewels - shock protected" and "Swiss Movt". The back has no markings at all. The case is 35mm diameter (not counting lugs or crown). The crown is unmarked. I've Googled & eBay'd for this name and found absolutely nothing. I don't have the right tool to remove the back - it has tiny flutes (ala Rolex) rather than notches. Has anyone seen such an animal before? Approximate age & worth? The movement is manual-wind, not automatic, but it does run. When I got it, the crystal was burned (cigarette?). I've buffed & polished out the burn marks, and it looks surprisingly good.If needed, I'll be happy to take & post some photos. Thanks - Boomzilla
Fifteen years ago in Honolulu I first saw a Panerai. I loved it. I knew one day I would be wearing one. Yesterday was that day. I took the plunge and picked up a 164. Here's my first pic of my new wrist buddy.
While Valtyr was trying for his asymmetrical, I was busy sniping this. I had some ebay bucks that I needed to use up so. I won't be around for its arrival so here is a preview. I love the early 60's look.
Hey guys,I've been looking everywhere for the watch I saw in Akon's music video "Beautiful" and I was wondering if you could help me out..YouTube - Akon - Beautiful ft. Colby O'Donis, Kardinal OffishallIt appears at 0:37 seconds with more of a close up at 0:57 very briefly.I own an Omega, Tag Heuer and a Rolex at the moment, but I'm looking for more of an oversized "bling" watch to wear on special occassions.Any help would be greatly appreciated!BJ
