IWC Connect: The Latest “Smart” Watch Strap for Mechanical Timepieces
With last week’s announcement of its IWC Connect device ¡ª an “intelligent tool” embedded in the straps of its watches ¡ª IWC Shaffhausen becomes the latest Swiss watch brand to offer a high-tech alternative to both traditional mechanical watches and so-called smartwatches such as the recently released Apple Watch.According to the company, the concept behind IWC Connect is “to enable owners of IWC timepieces to control their connected environment directly from the wrist while also maintaining the integrity of a handcrafted mechanical timepiece.” In other words, to compare and contrast it with other “smart” and “connected” products introduced by Swiss watch companies over the past year or so, it appears to have more in common with Montblanc’s Urban Speed e-Strap (you can read about it here) ¡ª in that all the electronics will be inside the strap rather than in the watch itself ¡ª than with such “hybrid” devices as the M

AP band rubber strap experience?
So I've been waiting for the ad in uk to confirm the waiting time of my grey rubber strap. Today saw these at a store and the seller told me this is the same quality as AP strap but I personally thought the quality wasn't good wonder what's your thought and experience is it true that they make strap for AP? Hi all. I am very happy to be joining the Omega family with my Speedmaster Titanium Blue (what I like to call the Blue Side Of The Moon).The journey to this one was a little bit circuitous. I was ready ready for a new pick-up to mark an achievement, and started by looking at the Rolex Bluesy Submariner and the PAM00512. Both very different, I know. Tried on a Bluesy and just didn't like it as much as I thought I would. Liked the PAM00512 alot (and still do) but just wasn't sure.At the same time, I had really liked the DSOTM, pretty much since it first came out. Huge amount of respect for the 9300 movement, loved the two sub-dial layout and of course the all ceramic set-up was intriguing. So I went to the Omega boutique to try it on and loved it.
