Zenith 40.2210.8804/95.C631 wrist watches news:
Welcome back to an original watches-dealer feature, "My First Grail Watch." In this series, we ask prominent people in the watch industry about the first timepiece that they lusted after. Today, we're speaking with Manuel Emch, who, along with being a watch designer, was at the helm of Jaquet Droz, and?is currently the CEO of Romain Jerome. He also has a relatively rare distinction as having designed what he identifies as being one of his grail watches.watches-dealer (ABTW): Who are you, and what is your relationship to the watch industry?Manuel Emch (ME): My name is Manuel Emch and I was born and raised surrounded by watches. I come from a family of watchmakers and grew up in Grenchen, home of ETA headquarters. Needless to say, that the watch industry was imprinted in me from a very young age.ABTW: When did your fascination with watches start?ME: At the end of the 1970¡¯s we went through a big crisis in the watchmaking industry. Most of my friend¡¯s parents lost their jobs and it really
Recently, watches-dealerwatches-dealer covered the Nokia Eco Sensor Concept, a conceptual device brimming with sensors, connectivity and functionality. The highlight of the Nokia Eco Sensor was it's ability to monitor one's surroundings and convert that information into something relevant to the wearer's health (i.e. "warning high levels of carbon dioxide detected!"). The Nokia Eco Sensor though very interesting, was still just a concept, as there was no working model. The Linde Werdelin Land Instrument is no mere concept, and it delivers a heap of promised features. The Linde Werdelin Land Instrument is part of Linde Werdelin's Biformeter (silly to pronounce) line of products, and is designed for skiing and cold weather mountain climbing and exploration. Excursions which scale tall cold environs require a good deal of environmental measuring to ensure human survivability. In extremely cold temperature, body parts can freeze in moments when exposed to the air. Further, one must monitor
After being promised months ago for a press kit and catalog information by my Hamilton contact person (I'm still waiting btw), I submitted a request for a current printed catalog online through the www.hamiltonwatch.com site about a week ago. The person in charge was out of the office so I received an automted response. Well, guess what arrived today. . . the catalog that I ordered a week ago. Speedy processing and a very nice addition to my collection. The pix are better than the website.I recommend if anyone wants one, to order one. BUT BEWARE, you will want to buy more Hammies if you do get the catalog.
A friend of mine from France just sent me the link to a black-and-white movie about Hamilton from 1947.Enjoy watching it.
Hi I just purchased a Ap from Italy. I'm back home in nyc and want to have it authenticated. I was just thinking of going into a authorized dealer and telling them I want to trade it in and let them say if it's real or not. Does anyone know who can authenticate it for my in nyc. The Ap boutique will not. Thanks in advance. I appreciate your help
