U-Boat 5868 wrist watches news:
from europastar:NEWS Global fashion signatures January 06, 2008 By Pierre Maillard “It is the fault of globalization. . .” bemoan the ‘real’ watchmakers who are witnessing the inevitable rise in strength of ‘fashion’ watches, those timepieces bearing the signature of the great lords of global couture. Gone are the days when we could condescendingly consider fashion watches as ‘accessories’ stuck in between the ties, belts, and shoes. This week, while at a restaurant on the beach, I saw a man wearing a U-Boat wrist watch. I'd never seen a U-Boat in the wild before and was quite struck by it's size and appearance. Looking at photos of U-Boats in the past have never impressed me, not at all, but this one had me mesmerized. I have never been a fan of HUGE watches, but this U-Boat, despite it's size, just seemed ¡ ummm ¡ right. I can see only 2-3 watches in rubber rest all in leather? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I heard that the screws are white gold, is this a fact? Was curious if this was true or not. Is anything else gold on the watch other then the rotor on the movement?
Any recommendations? She's never been in and I feel like it's time. Also, what is the going rate for an Omega service? Thanks
