Ulysse Nardin 265-67-8/45 wrist watches news:
I have been looking for a manual dress watch for some time and I think I have finally decided on a Stowa Antea Kleine Sekunde with the black strap (for now! ) and just wanted to see what the general disposition and thoughts on the model and brand are from those of you here on the German forums. Thanks
Christie's is gearing up for a special Speedmaster auction and they have a space worn Speedmaster from an Apollo mission. No estimate provided, I'm curious to see what it goes for though.Christie's Speedmaster 50 Auction*I have no affiliation to Christie's or the seller
I just noticed that I have a VERY small scratch in the flat part (top) of the bezel on my Nautilus 5712A (but the scratch goes across the grain of the metal so it is noticeable to the naked eye if the watch is fingerprint-free and catches the light in a certain way (and not otherwise). I've had the watch for 7 months. Two questions:1) Should I be thrilled that I only have one VERY small scratch after 7 months, or dismayed that it is scratched at all?2) When I have it serviced down the road, should I ask that they polish it, or not touch it?p.s. I wear the watch about 4-6 days a week so I am sure there will be other scratches at some point down the line...
If I were to buy a 5711 online will Patek Service Ctr in NYC re-size it for no fee? If there is a fee, how much will they charge? Also, how long will it take? Thanks in advance
So my journey started with the SubC for a few weeks last year, Basel 2017 hit and the SD43 releases, I called my AD and I was first on the list. Sold the SubC and waited for the SD43. I should have kept the subC to compare but I couldn’t afford It at the time. When it arrived in June 2017 I was in love, the 22mm bracelet the case size ect. Wrist presents is there, the bling and all. Well with my 6.75 wrist size I nearly pulled it off and I did, i wore a 44mm Luminox for work so the big 43mm was normal for me. What got me turned off about the SD43 was the thickness and weight. I probably wouldn’t venture into PM if the weight already an issue. I had to wear the watch a lil snug so the watch head won't flop around, I wear my watches all day and I also go to sleep with it on, waking up with a tight watch on the wrist is not comfortable. Being 43mm and 15mm tall, it got in way at times. I had to be extra careful not to bang it getting out my car and avoiding door
