Omega 2599.80 is coming back to me
Well guys, my very first swiss automatic watch was an Omega, and specifically it was the 2599.80. I recently sold it to fund my Breitling CA.I still miss that watch and I've come across an opportunity to purchase another one in mint to perfect condition - boxes, papers and red dot intact.Its on its way back to me and I'll post pictures when I receive it in a week.Let the waiting and nail biting begin.

Patek at Auction Results: What's ahead?
A quick note/thread to discuss some of today's Christie's auction results. I bid on a particular reference today (did not win, but came damned close). Some references seemed to do OK, while others really surprised me on their low price. Yes, it's no secret that Patek sales are slow and auction prices are soft, but some of these results are quite interesting (in particular on the more complicated references) and make me wonder if we will continue to see a downward trend for some iconic and historically auction favorites.Let me know what you think. I was thinking about the first Rolex I ever owned (DJ 16220) and that it wasn¡¯t what I expected after yearning so many years.
