U-Boat 6233 wrist watches news:
In October this year after looking and looking I purchased an Aqua Terra model 231.13.44.50.02.001 from the Birmingham Boutique. I've worn it probably a dozen times but at the end of November noticed for some reason the auto winder was stuck solid so it kept stopping. I took it back to shop only to be told it could not be replaced but would have to be sent away for repair not what I wanted or expected after paying ¡ê4.5k for a watch. I have emailed Omega who have said they will give it high priority, but that¡¯s not what I want do you think I'm being unreasonable asking for a new one. I'm told it is being repaired and will have it back in the new year not impressed at all but seems like there is nothing I can do unless you know other wise.
Went to see the new 007 movie and noticed the CIA agent Felix was wearing a Hamilton X-Wind. Pretty cool I thought. Anyone else catch that?
with good lume characteristics on wrist for evening/night rally driving. Daydate preferred but count down facilities etc not necessary(co driver has one).Certainly diver type watch will be considered. I have a relatively small wrist so dial/case size of 38/40mm max (not incl crown)is required. I like the mercedes type style of hands. Any suggestions are of course appreciated.thanks
So in the process of correspondence with Christopher Ward regarding my recent purchase of a C11 Titanium Elite Chronometer dive watch I became aware of a discrepancy in their on line literature regarding the movement. In one place it is identified as an ETA 2824-2 COSC and in another (the owners manual) as a Sellita SW 220-1 COSC. Upon contacting CW I recieved the following reply:"With regard to your previous email (and I apologise for the tardy response to this) about the movement in the watch, I have spoken with Mr Ward who informs me that the watch has been supplied with both certified SW200 and ETA 2824 dependent on supply. When the manual went to print we were receiving the SW200, as we probably will with our next consignment of these watches. Please note, these are effectively identical movements and we see them both perform with the same degree of accuracy and reliability."I have found the following information online regarding Stellita and on the company's own website where i
I¡¯m flying overseas and plan to take three of my rolexes. Do I need to take receipts or proof of purchase from the US with me so that when I¡¯m reentering back in the US they don¡¯t ask to collect customs? Thanks
