If you like vintage diver designs, specifically the early days of the Rolex Submariner, but not current vintage diver prices, Raven Watches has something you should see. The company, part of STEVRAL who also owns Benarus, recently release their new Raven Vintage 42mm. The name sets up what you are getting right away: vintage design cues in a modern, 42mm case. Some of the hard to find Rolex Submariners are the early non-crown guard models (6536 & 6538) and the military models with ?sword hands (5513 & 5517). The Raven Vintage 42mm combines elements from these ?models into this release.The case size of the Raven Vintage 42mm is clear in the title, with the lug-to-lug length coming in at a reasonable 50mm. My friend is a product photographer who just got a new set up, I was helping him test some of it out, he was about to shoot a macro of his Speedmaster when he realized that he didn't have a plastic display stand to prop it up with. He then motions to my Seamaster and says, you know I have the laser triggers and I haven't tried it with the tank yetseveral gallons of water later, and a sunken towel that I insisted on, we were ready to shoot. He has an incredible Profoto set up of flash lights and a rather absurdly awesome PhaseOne digital back connected to a sinar bellows type camera. The laser transmitter/receiver was trained about 1cm above the surface of the water. I'm looking to buy a Eco-Drive AT Watch for myself but considering that I live in the GMT +2 time zone I think the radio signal doesn't exist in my country. Movement of Police watches.Any info?
I have a friend who sells mobile phones.He got a POLICE automatic chrono watch-brand new,in exchange for a phone.He contacted me yesterday and asked me if am I interested...the watch is black dial with leather strap,with chronograph.I don`t have very much info on Police.I know they make very quality and nice sunglasses(which I never wear though...any sunglasses at all).How about watches?Do someone here know something about their movement.It is by any chance that they could be Swiss? If it is,the price is very good(150Euros)Thanks for helping.

Patek 5167 overpriced or just me?
So I'm contemplating getting an aquanaut. Beautiful, quality, versatile piece. My one hesitation is that it feels a bit over priced. I mean we're talking 3 hands, a date and a rubber strap. I get that it holds value and is supreme quality and all that, but how much of it is simply marketing and brand name? I can spend a couple more grand and get a beautiful white gold Daytona, which is precious metal, more complicated, and a beautiful, high quality piece as well. They al hold their value if you get it at the right price.Don't get me wrong, I love the 5167, but I feel like it should be priced $5k less. My wife used to be in fashion and I would always say, how does Versace charge $400 for a t-shirt, it's ridiculous! She would go into the arguement about the quality and craftsmenship and exclusivity and all that. Now I ask her and she agrees, you're paying a lot of extra purely for the brand, it's all just marketing.So 5167 or no? Is it worth it or just go for the wg Daytona!?Really curio
