Advice before purchase of an Omega
Hi, Hope someone can help with following points:-Currently looking at buying an omega, it will be to wear each workday and for daytime when on holiday.Was looking at a Planet ocean 2201.50.00 as a sensible do anything/anywhere optionBut keep getting drawn back to a Speedmaster professional, the Speedmaster questions - 1) How waterproof in reality is a 50m rating, this would only be for swimming and messing about in the sea (typical holiday things with family) ¨C no diving or watersports, does anyone use theirs for this ok ?2) The price difference in the UK between a professional 3570.50.00 version and a co-axial 311.30.44.50.01.002 is about $1900, what are the practical benefits to justify the cost. Aquanaut steel bracelet
does anyone have any suggestions about resizing the steel bracelet on a 5167 1A? I had only one (1) link removed but now the bracelet is too tight. Is there any adjustment that can be made to the bracelet without replacing the link?

Glycine Combat Sub on a watchadoo bracelet
My Glycine Combat Sub quartz came on a factory rubber strap. I tried it on two ZULU straps and a nice black leather strap. However, in the mail today was a custom beadblasted watchadoo bracelet which I got from a member of another forum. I could not believe how nice the bracelet finish matched the brushed and polished case of the Glycine. I put a tiny bit of fine metal polish on the watchadoo to bring out a touch of sheen. I am very pleased with the match and the comfort of the watch/bracelet combo. Cheers, Bill P.

Insurance question
Wanted you¡¯re thoughts on this. I just got off the phone with USAA and I wanted to bump up the value of my Hulk since prices have been going up recently. Last thing I want to do is lose it and then have to kick in more money just to replace it. USAA let me bump up the value, but also said I should get a new appraisal. I asked why and they said it will make it easier at the time of loss to get the full amount I have it insured for. My question is since they would probably have a hard time just replacing the watch and would probably just write me a check, will they pay the amount I have it insured for, or go off the last appraised value? Are people really asking for new appraisals every time prices go up or demand raises prices up? Insurance companies will gladly let you insure it for more, but in the event of loss will they really pay you current fair market value for the piece without having a current appraisal on hand?
