This is the watch in question and I have a few concerns.First of all the "Chronometer Officially Certified" text is bolder than the "Omega Automatic" text, and the fonts do not match each other. Also concerned about the spelling of Chronometer. My guess is that part of the text has been redone. Here is another example of a Chronometre that I own.Another thing is this dent or gouge, I don't think it can be polished out. I have also been told that it's been re-cased.The movement runs, but it could use a cleaning. The RG regulator is also missing, so I would need to replace that. The thing is part of me wants to keep it and restore it, but I know I could use that money somewhere else, like to restore my 352. But then again you don't see a 343 everyday, however it is a franken watch. It actually looks nice in the sun and I know it would look nice when the dial is restored and those rose gold markers and hands are polished. But if I try to resell it, I don't know if I would get back what I in
So...Which one would you get... ?I like them both, but unlikely I can afford/justify both...The 5524 is For me a more useful complication in the travel time.. it¡¯s also probably more unique but at the same time less Patel like. The 5512 (edit 5712) is everything the 5711 is but more and arguably harder to get than the 5524 or perhaps better to say more in demand.Maybe that will change with the planned increase. It¡¯s also more my style ie steel bracelet watch although wita my subs I generally wear non PCL bracelets.I¡¯m not generally a suit wearer and am usually more casually dressed.. hence why I¡¯m drawn to the 5524 it¡¯s less likely to be as obvious..And less noticed by clients and other staff... (which is important to me)That said when I do wear suits To client meetings I don¡¯t have anything other than subs and sea dwellers that look clean and simple (sold my Daytona as never wore it...) hence why I was considering a classic nautilus piece...AD will put me on a list for either due to wha
Hi,you all know that Panerai has developed products for the military, primarily light system under water light, etc. .. and has this and also produced until 1997, until Richmont or the Vendome Luxury Group has bought the watch part of Officine Panerai. The rest was renamed in Panerai Sistemi. In 1999 then the company Calzoni which has military matters, developed for the water, bought the Panerai Sistemi..paneraisistemi/.calzoni/company/historyAlso, there was recently a somewhat detailed thread on paneristi which has shown in more detail the military lighting systems from Panerai. There are also information from books. If you look at the drawing you from the last picture above, then you see the Panerai lamp which was used for a helicopter landing pad. Also the first and 2 Image show a helicopter landing pad, for which the lighting system Panerai has developed.A helicopter I did not, not even a landing pad, but finally enough light in the house and / or garden ......After I received the l
