U-Boat 2268 wrist watches news:
Likely no coincidence that Tissot created a timepiece like this and both Tissot and Breguet are under the same umbrella company - the Swatch Group. While Tissot is best known in the US for their awesome T-Touch timepieces, and other sport watches, they do actually offer some nice classy pieces as well (though a good deal of those are harder to find in the US). Tissot sits as a high-value, entry-level luxury watch portal for the Swatch Group. They are actually in sort of the same boat with Certina watches (also Swatch Group, but those are very hard to find in the US).So new from Tissot is this Sculpture Line Moonphase watch - which I nicknamed the "Tissot Baby Breguet." Why? Well, because the design is just that. Tissot borrowed elements from Breguet such as the machine "guilloche" engraved textured dial, dial layout, and gold case. Yes, in fact this Tissot watch will come in an 18k white or rose gold case. Making this a top-level Tissot timepiece. Tissot timepieces don't often come in
You no doubt have been reading a few articles on here about female watches and thought to yourselves that the tone doesn't quite sound like me. Hopefully at that point you noticed that the author of the blog article was not me, but rather the newest addition to aBlogtoReadwatches-dealer; who will regularly be commenting on the watch world in addition to myself. So please welcome Molly McDermott, who is here to bring a different perspective to watch appreciation.Molly is a veteran of the watch industry? - an experience that gives her a special insight and perspective on how to view and discuss the nicer things in life (that you can buy). Starting with bridal wear and the jewelry, she ended up working with luxury watches, until recently - but the passion and interest remains. It doesn't hurt that she is quite opinionated and energetic as well. You can be sure that she'll be honest with her thoughts but come at concepts with a tasteful and discerning eye. While Molly is going to be focusi
Hi - newbie here, long time lurker. Here is my little collection. Hope you like it. Sorry for the terrible pictures.I was thinking of selling the GMT ceramic as I have my sights on a JLC Master Calendar - what do you think??Regards,Watch Addict
Today, I came across some P/W's that have been in the family for a while...and there is one that I'd really like to know more about. From the little I know about these type of things, it's a Lepine calibre watch (though not an actual Lepine), with an 18K gold/enamel case (although I'm not 100% sold it has a solid 18K case), and is key set and wound. Other than a very faint hallmark and a serial number, I couldn't find any distinctive marks that would indicate who made it.I'm trying to figure out a rough time period that this could be from...as well as any clues as to who could have made it. And eventually, it would be nice to get a rough idea of what it's worth. So if you can help, please don't be shy!
Hey guys, was just wondering about the Pushers on the 5164 Travel Time.I feel they are quite easy to push in without much resistance, sometimes when I wear my suit, I get surprised to find they have somehow been pushed possibly by the cuffs or the suit cuffs, and have to adjust the time back myself.Do any 5164 owners have this problem? Also, the pushers don't feel like they have much resistance, is it truly a 120m waterproof watch? Would you guys wear it to shower everyday? or even swim?
