Meistersinger Launches the New Circularis With Bespoke Movement
Meistersinger ¨C maker of the famous watch with one hand ¨C has announced a new watch with a new, bespoke, manually wound movement known as caliber MSH01. The movement features a striking design and some interesting technical features. Let’s take a look.The new watch is the Circularis, and it is the first piece in a new family of models powered by the all-new movement. Meistersinger developed the movement jointly with a Swiss partner. The two companies devoted three years to the project. The movement is highly distinctive ¨C its unusual geometry can¡¯t be mistaken for any other. The first thing you notice is the large, organically shaped bridge, then you see the prominent twin mainspring barrels, which together provide a smooth flow of power for a full five days. The twin barrels and the balance wheel form a triangle that gives the movement a balanced look. However, most exciting Cal.3090 place movement in its meticulous execution. Components are assembled and decorated by hand sanding, the production process can be decorated with precision to ensure excellent quality. Breitling Navitimer World, just returned from servicing
My Breitling Navitimer World has been away for the last 4 months getting a case replacement due to one of the lugs getting slightly deformed from over-polishing. While I'm a little peeved that two of the new case's lugs got lightly scratched by the repair shop due to not using masking tape, I'm just relieved it happened on the underside so as to be pretty much invisible. Breitling for Bentley Flying B
Braved the crowds for Christmas shopping on the weekend, and happened to see a new Breitling for Bentley Flying B in a shop window. One of these:I must say, this is one rather different looking watch in the 'flesh'. My impressions after seeing photos, was one of a watch that was rather sleek, refined and worked well as a whole. However, I was very dissapointed when I actually saw the thing. It just looks really, really square, above all else.Large, ungainly and almost gaudy are other words that spring to mind. It's very attention-getting....oh...and shiny!I knew immediately what it was, even with only a quick glance.But that great hobnail style pattern. and the round dials almost dissapeared, and were overpowered by the actual case of the watch.But, these are just my first impressions. I normally like the size and heft of Breitlings, especially the more complicated ones, but this one just seemed a bit too different for my tastes.Anyone here seen one, or tried one on?
