Heuer dial came today!
It's in very nice shape, but definitely not NOS like the seller told me. Unfortunately, New Old Stock is a common exaggeration that people seem to think is synonymous with near mint. Anyway, you can see a few tiny marks on the subdials but that's not problem and pretty much won't be seen by the naked eye on the watch when finished.A little shot with the compressed air will blow off the particles and the lume is nicely aged. It was a little pricy, but cheaper than the price of the redial at the expensive restoration place. When it comes to finding these parts, there seems to be only a couple sources and they know they have you over a barrel. I guess I can't complain - supply & demand, right? With the new dial & bezel insert this is shaping up to be a potentially good looking result.

Bank Wire Transfers?
Hey guys! Sorry if this is alittle off watch topic, but it has to do with the sale of a watch!!My buyer is outside of the U.S. And does not do Paypal, so we have agreed on a wire transfer of funds. However, even after speaking to my bank, I am still unsure of how to do this safely and securely. My buyer and I have been in great communication and he seems like an awesome guy, but I just want to make sure I am doing this most securely. Hello all, need a bit of input. I'm looking at the Omega GMT Chrono 3581.30.00 w/ white dial, and trying to choose between that and the Breitling Chronomat Evolution747 Windrider white dial. Legacy / Birthyear Watch
So, my first child (boy) is scheduled to arrive this coming October. *my avatar does not accurately reflect how I feel about it*Anyway....I was thinking of getting a birth-year watch to mark the occasion. Something that would be special, that I can enjoy for a while before I pass along to my son when he comes of age. The only caveat being that I would want to acquire it by October (so no extremely hard to get watches). I was thinking of the TT CHNR to mark the occasion and have as the heirloom (talked to my AD and am confident I can source by October). Just posting to hear about other members' birth-year watch stories.
