Ulysse Nardin 243-00b/43 wrist watches news:
Hi all, quick newbie question...I am looking at a '90's DJ steel/gold/leather, what is the champagne dial made of? Tried to do a search, but to no avail....also, any info on this type of watch would be appreciated, not looking for anything specific, but it would be a gift and a first time Rolex buy, it's from an authorized dealer, serviced, no box or papers, not a scratch. I think they were the original sellers, then it was traded in.THANKS!
You're not really supposed to do this.. in fact, it's apparently not possible according to a Zenith AD. That doesn't always have to stop you, however. I finally have the bracelet option for my El Primero New Vintage 1969. Full write-up/story here: “I’m sorry Sir, these were only ever produced with the leather strap..” ? thirtyfivemill
I recently bought a Tissot chronograph and now I want to buy a "beater" watch and narrowed it down to two G-Shocks (I narrowed the choices down based on size since I don't have a very big wrist). Any thoughts on the two I have narrowed it down to (GMW5600J & GWM850)? Know of any of other atomic solar g shocks that are under 50mm in size?
I was watching one of my favourite shows called Auction which also featured the record breaking Sotheby's auction of Henry Graves Jr supercomplication, and recently saw the hammer go down on a beautiful 1518 owned by Gene Autry, the first Perpetual Calendar Chronograph made in a series by a watchmaker, and heavily responsible for putting PP at the highest echelon of the HH map. It seemed especially relevant as we have had some wonderful PCC incomings here recently and most of the rest of us dream of owning one some day.I also wondered what the first Perpetual Calendar watch ever made was and discovered that it was between a Patek, the 97975 made in 1898 but for a women’s pendant watch, and a Breguet, the 4244, but while it was made later in 1928, the caliber was made for a wristwatch. I would say it was the Breguet.Just some interesting reading below including the first wristwatch ever made by Patek, the Property of a Countess, I call it .watchtime/wristwatch-...1868-to-today/ht
Hi guys,Currently have my Everest strap on my BLNR with the OEM Rolex clasp.Just wanted to ask for those of you who have alternative straps, how often do you change them out and does it cause wear on the spring bars to frequently compress them to change out bracelets? Also due to using the OEM clasp, it involves removing the screws from the clasp to place the oyster bracelet back on. Would this cause damage to the screws or threads from constantly using loctite each time I replace it?Sorry for the long winded post, but just curious. Thank you for any guidance given!!!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
