Omega wants us to remember?that the James Bond films are 50 years old in 2012. Rolex is the historic watch on 007's wrist, and when it comes down to it, every man wants a watch with an included laser cutter and grappling hook. As a bit of an homage to the classic "James Bond" Rolex from 1954, Christopher Ward has released a version of their C60 Trident watch (reviewed here) with a specially colored bezel on a NATO strap.This version of the hot-selling C60 Trident Automatic has an olive green colored bezel insert and comes with a striped NATO-style strap. The steel watch is 42mm wide and pretty thin at 13mm. Over the dial is a sapphire crystal and inside the watch is a Swiss ETA 2824 (or equivalent Sellita) automatic movement.There are many versions of the C60 Trident watch and this is just one of them. Each is pretty nice and I like that Christopher Ward takes a good thing and offers enough versions to suit most anyone's taste. Price for this C60 Trident Automatic Nato version is $480

1873 Family Heirloom
I have a PP pocket watch family heirloom given to me by my father and handed down from my great grandfather. PP of Geneva says they sold the watch on July 29, 1873, but they say no more about who purchased it. I wonder if anyone knows how I might go about researching the path the watch took up to the point when my great grandfather might have purchased it. My guess is that PP sold the watch (750 swf in 1873) to Tiffany's. The outside of the case has the initials "RW". Does anyone know what that means?

A timeless classic in my point of view. The 44mm is v nice too but I think I will just find it too bling and big after my initial hype. I'm also in my 30's. Let's say almost mid 30's... I can def pull off both the 44 and the 39 as I got pretty decent size wrist. So if you were me: go young and trendy with the 44mm or a timeless classic down the road with the 39mm ROC with grey slate Paul Newman style dial? Getting both is outta my budget! 3919 vs. 5109J
I've long admired Patek Philippe watches, particularly their gold dress models, and I'm now trying to acquire my first PP. I'm looking at a 3919 (recently serviced with archive papers but no box) and a 5109 (last serviced 6 years ago with box and archive papers). I like them both very much and know that they both have the same great PP 215 movement. Do you have any insights to tip the scales one way or the other?Thank you for your help. DTM
