Ulysse Nardin 263-93LE wrist watches news:
After presenting the wrist-worn No. 16 atomic clock watch about a year ago, Richard Hoptroff is back with the Hoptroff No. 1, No. 2, and No. 3 atomic wrist watches that he claims are now "wearable." What I am actually spending the most time thinking about is how the Number 16 watch came before numbers 1, 2, and 3. But perhaps, that is for a different time. Right now, the focus is on these three new timepieces that contain what Hoptroff claims are the latest in small-sized atomic clock technology. So what does wearable mean? The Hoptroff No. 16 was almost 84mm wide and looked like two watches welded to one another side-by-side. The Hoptroff No. 1, 2, and 3 atomic watches have a more traditional rectangular case that is clearly shaped as such to contain the electronics inside. Has anyone seen the 5116G Calatrava with enamel dial at any ADs yet? I just noticed that Patek has updated their official pictures of this watch, the large "Email" inscription inside the seconds circle is gone now.Old official photo:Current official photo:Removing the large "Email" is a change to the better, IMHO. I hope they release a Rose gold version of the 5116, that must be gorgeous.
Can anyone tell me how tough the black coating (DLC) is on the BC4 Chronograph? I'm thinking of my first Oris since school days (in the '50s!) and love the lines of the BC4, and its leather strap. I wonder if the black surface will scratch and become unsightly....? It is one big hunk of metal!
