A. Lange & Sohne Saxonia Dual Time Watch
To be honest when I first checked out this Saxonia Dual Time watch I didn't give it much attention. It was nice, but didn't really look like the A. Lange & Sohne watches I was used to. I was frankly more interested in the Richard Lange Tourbillon Pour le Merite as well as the Zeitwerk Striking. It was only after returning to the watch later on did I realize that it was a really nicely done dual time watch. The movement is all Lange, but the dial feels a bit like something else. It is quite minimalist for the brand, and the dual time function is easy to adjust. Omega Seamaster Quartz Problem
Hello All,I have an Omega Seamaster Quartz, Movement 1538 and when I try to tighten the crown down, my watch quits working, usually within a few minutes. If I push the crown down so it's past position 1 and just barely start to tighten it it works fine. It seems to me that somehow the stem may be shorting out the watch when it's screwed in all the way, but it's also strange that it doesn't stop working immediately when the crown is screwed in all the way. Does anyone have any ideas on what the problem could be or how I could fix it myself before sending it off to service?Thanks,Justin

Hey Guys,My first post here (though I am on another popular watch board). After years of not wearing a watch at all I got into it early this year (thanks to the Orange Monster) and have really been enjoying it, thanks in part to the websites like this where I can read about watches and peoples experiences with them. So thanks to everyone who contributes.To me, Japanese watches offer a real sweet spot in the market. For a reasonable price you can get some nice pieces from companies with good history. Right now I have two Seikos and an Orient. I'd like to try a Citizen Eco-Drive, but can't find one whose looks I really dig.My next purchase may be the diver/pilot looking SRP043 (I'd get the bracelet version SRP043K1). I think that is a nice watch with real presence and possibly a bit of an upgrade over the Monster. Plus I think I could wear it with a much wider range of clothing including hopefully to work. It would be my biggest watch, but I think even at that size it looks class

Hi i'm looking to purchase my first vintage piece and I want a classic dive watch for a budget of up to USD1000 with less being better if possibleIt doesn't have to be something with an amazing brand or history i just want something that's a bit different and a good solid watch (maybe a brand that is no longer around would fit well as this would be different)...I want a classic divers look like all the classics but something you wouldn't expect to see often.Any suggestions on what to look out for and pointers to get me going in the right direction within the budget?Thanks!
