I love this ad. Just noticed it in the November issue of one of my favorite travel magazines. I put this magazine in my car a month ago and forgot about it. I found it today, unread, under the passenger seat. It's the first time I've seen this ad.If I was Rolex-less, this ad alone would make me want to seriously think about going down to my local AD to check this bad boy out! I passed my AD today and in the window was the Deep Sea right next to the Rolex Submariner (no date). I showed my wife how much thicker the new Deep Sea is compared to the Sub and she said "You men. You have to buy the biggest watches as an extension of your " She just doesn't get it sometimes. It's just a bigger, fatter Rolex. It doesn't have anything to do with male enhancement! On a separate note, I went to a new doctor the other day and like him enough to use him as my primary care physician now. I noticed a gleaming pepsi GMT2 on his wrist and was tempted to comment on it but decided to wait till I

Service PAM000 by Panerai or watchmaker?
I purchased a used PAM000 (Calibre OP 1) that has not been serviced since its initial purchase (nearly 6 years). Is it worth getting this thing serviced by Panerai? Or should I save the cash and get it serviced by a competent watchmaker? Any risks in going with a competent watchmaker (such as testing for sealing and water resistance)? Finally, what are the estimated prices for getting it serviced by (a) Panerai, and (b) competent watchmaker?Thanks!
