Parmigiani Fleurier, the boutique brand founded by master watchmaker Michel Parmigiani, has added a new limited-edition watch, called the Tourbillon Abyss, to its collection of Pershing timepieces, established in 2007 in a partnership with the prestigious Italian yacht manufacturer.Introduced at the SIHH watch salon in January, the Pershing Tourbillon Abyss, which is limited to 30 individually numbered pieces, has an exceptionally light titanium case middle, a dynamometric screw-down crown and a rose-gold, unidirectional bezel. good afternoon, my mother inhereted an antique Longines solid 18k gold women's watch from my great aunt. based on the information my mother has, the watch is circa 1920's or 30's. it is functioning and has the original Longines mechanism. we are looking to sell it. could anyone tell me what the aproximate value of a time piece like this would be? p.s. the whole watch is 18k gold (bezel and belt).

I am strongly thinking about adding a 5146 to my collection. I'm leaning towards the platinum model, but was wondering if I should go with the White gold version instead, and then it got me thinking....What are the main reasons to buy Platinum watches over white gold? Do they wear better? Do they hold their value better? Cosmetically, they appear to look the same in pics.Any thoughts?Calfee
