Ulysse Nardin 266-66-3/62 wrist watches news:
Before we get started, we need to talk about just what a grande sonnerie is, and what it's not. A grande sonnerie is not a cartoonish complication. A grand sonnerie hasn't been taken from the highest echelons of true artisanal watchmaking to become a status symbol for anyone who can string together a few bucks. There are no movement shops selling off-the-shelf grande sonneries to fashion brands. There is no such thing as a grande sonnerie module from Dubois Depraz, and we've yet to see a Chinese grande sonnerie. You see, in the world of high complications, the grande and petite sonnerie holds a very special place, well above even split-seconds chronographs, perpetual calendars, and certainly above the once-holy tourbillon. Consider the fact that the very first grande and petite sonnerie wristwatch was produced not in the 1940s like so many complications, but in 1992, and it took the skills of no one short of Philippe Dufour to accomplish this. It was just this past October t
I purchased these divers with the intent to mod them ¡°calm down all read the rest¡±. I have many 70¡¯s Seiko watches and I leave them original, but these divers are not as old and the mods that I will be doing to them are very easily reversed back to the original Seiko design if I wanted to. I went to our local spring ATL GTG and I saw some real nice modded Seiko¡¯s well done and good color combinations. I purchased the Divers 200m because it had modded parts available and you can pick them up for a reasonable price to try my first attempt at modding a diver. I have seen many modded divers out on the web and most are impressive, however some are scary and looked like the person whom modded them where color blind, wanted a pimp¡¯s watch, or just tasteless. Came up with a method to see how the mods would look on the watch before purchasing the any modded parts. You can imagine the mods in your head but till you see them together on the watch you just don¡¯t know. I used a photoshop type of
Here is my latest restore project that I just got. It was in very bad condition; case scratches, crystal scratches, dial edges need some help. The movement is a 715. To my surprise there were a few small black dots on the watch case that I thought was dirt but would not clean off. It was not dirt it was tiny welded beads that where bubbled dots. I was able to get them off ¡°used a file¡± and polish them out and that¡¯s the beauty of Stainless Steel. How the heck did the small weld bead dots get there did someone get electrocuted with this watch on? I hope I did not buy a cursed watch! Overall I¡¯m happy with the end results.

Hi all I was wondering with all the problems that can faced with magnetisation and such. Should have any concerns putting a watch into an x-ray machine. Possibly a very outdated noob question but I'm learning. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
