- I've always been fascinated with watches with all the dials on them. This one keeps great time and looks like it costs a lot more than it does.

OMEGA and Solar ImpulseAt a press conference today in Payerne, Switzerland, Solar Impulse unveiled its second solar-powered airplane, Solar Impulse 2. The Solar Impulse project, launched by Bertrand Piccard and Andr¨¦ Borschberg, has set itself the goal of circumnavigating the globe in an airplane powered day and night using nothing but solar energy by 2015. OMEGA has an active role as one of Solar Impulse’s Main Partners, providing both capital support and key technology to a venture that will contribute to the scientific and ecological development of alternative means of sustainable energy. OMEGA’s significant contributions will continue to be an integral part in the Solar Impulse Project’s success in the coming years. I have the opportunity to buy either a Planet Ocean Chrono or an Omega Broad Arrow at 40% off MSRP. This is because this AD is going out of business. Before tax, the PO would be $3540 and the Broad Arrow would be $4200. My questions to you are:1) Is 40% a deal to jump on considering it is from an AD2) Given the choice, which watch is the better buy? Thanks in advance for your help.[IMG][/IMG]

I am new to PP but have worn Rolex 30+ years. I bought a 5085 and simply like it better than any watch I have had since getting my first Rolex. I am considering selling my Gold GMTIIC, SS Daytona, Milgaus GV, Thunderbird, a bnib 14060M, a bnib 16610, a 5013 a 1675 a 36 mm Explorer and Tudor BB and use the funds towards one Patek. I am keeping my SS datejust, my TT datejust and my DD tiger eye as these were my progression in Rolex before branching out to other models over the years. My question is this: I like bracelets. I like complications. What are realistic models with bracelets that I won't have to sink a lot of additional cash into or that are realistic close to even trades for the above? Thanks in advance to anyone caring to respond.
