Ulysse Nardin 266-67/42 wrist watches news:
A while back I posted a thread about feeling guilty because we had so much (refering to watches) and others have so little and I commited to take some time and volonteer at a local food pantry. Christmass watch and I feel guiltyI am a man of my word and Well today was the first day. With a little complaing from the kids because I had to tell them we were going to WORK and they could not bring the nintendo DS and ipod touchand after I decided which watch to wear, the whole family went and helped out. We sorted food, packed bags and boxes and handed out food to folks who needed it. I am the type of guy who will spot a watch and also a car. Obviously I like watches and I also love cars and have a few nice ones. It is just what I am into and I spot them out. Well I was amazed at some of the watches and cars I saw fom people getting food. I do not think I have seen so many new cars, especially cadilacs, since the last time I was on a new car lot. And I saw at least 4 Rolex watches

I normally don't worry about the plethora of fakes on ebay... I will however make an exception for this one as it appears to be fooling many punters..ebay.au/itm/400995053...617&rmvSB=trueI haven't wasted my time checking the numbers with the manufacturer as I am sure its crap... they are reasonably convincing to most.Beware of complicated vintage pateks.... they have been reproducing them in china for some time now.... $4500us to convert a Valjoux 23 into a Patek 130..... about 10k for a complete watch.....the newer versions are even more convincing...Be careful.
Does anyone have any recommendations of similar 3rd party ones?I can't for the life of me figure out why they'd stop making them, but I really wanted to grab a few of them but they've basically dried up except for a few used ones on eBay at ridiculous prices. I really like the look (rough edges/etc.) but am having trouble finding anything similar.
My humble collection is need of a Rolex so I'm asking all you fine folks to help me decide on which model to add to this trio. I've owned several Rolex refs in the past....116610LN, 114060, 116710LN, 116710BLNR (twice!), and the Daytona (black dial). But just none ever stuck for various reasons (didn't work with the current collection, got bored, didn't work as a one watch collection, etc). I've even considered adding a ref that I've owned before as maybe it would work within the current SOTC. But if I were to add a ref I've never owned before, a TT sub is high on my list as well as the 116610LV. Possibly even the new Explorer I? Thoughts, suggestions, recommendations, comments all welcomed! Thanks in advance.
