Ulysse Nardin 246-92-8/692 wrist watches news:
I didn't think I'd work on watches as much as I do now. I find more of a need for an ultrasonic cleaner everytime I pop a case back on my Accutrons. Mostly just the gear train and index wheel need the attention, but I'd probably end up using it on other parts as well. Can somebody guide me on which ultrasonic cleaners to look at. I've seen them at prices as low as $40, but I fear that these will not last very long or not clean as well as a nicer one. I'm looking to use it about 1-2 times/week.Let me know your thoughts, opinions, and recommendationsThanks-Johnny
Hi,I was wondering if anyone could help me with my question.I own an Omega Railmaster chronograph with stopwatch (2008) and i notice 'ghost' figures of the watch hands on the glass (on the inside of the glass) The ghost figures move at the same time of the hands and i am wondering what is causing this? reflection? moisture? optical illusion? can anyone help? Many thanks
Based on serial numbers, Rolex produced about 1.1 million watches between January 1985 and June 1987
Hi everyone, I'm in Hamburg for a few days staying at the Fairmont Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten. (Have to say that I'm loving the view from my room.)As luck would have it, I'm not too far from what looks like a gigantic Omega boutique. They were closed today but looked like they had a lot of great pieces in stock. I know discounts are out of the question but what's the level of tax back I can get back at the airport? I hear 19% is the tax but hear different stories in terms of how much you can actually get back at the airport. Your thoughts on this would be very appreciated.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Needs an overhaul, but I like it. Every time I pull out the crown to try setting the time, the second hand goes crazy and haywire. Quite dusty and gunky:Movement is rough:This is the part that keeps spinning when I set the time, I don't think that's normal.
