- This watch is sweet, I'm not gonna lie. It's a little ger than I'd like but it still looks sweet. It's very lightweight so I'm not sure if that means It'll break easily or not, but I don't plan on dropping it anytime soon.

Ulysse Nardin 8156-111-2/91 wrist watches news:
I tried catching the reflections of the Superocean in the water, as usuall it didn`t turn out the way it looked in my mind but here goesIf anyone got any tips on this It`ll be much appriciated!-Ram
To start, here's the watch we're talking about. It arrived in non-running condition but I do intend to keep it. It's not a rare or valuable vintage so I'd like to use it as a learning experience. I have managed to pop the crystal/bezel and run into my first issue. The crown stem goes through a hole in the case and the movement won't come out. How do you separate the crown from the movement to remove it from the case?Once it's out, I'll post photos of the movement and take further suggestions. Thanks in advance.
As many of you know, a few weeks ago I had the opportunity to visit the AP Museum in Le Brassus. Here are some pictures of that unforgettable day and the rest of the story and more pictures are here. We started our journey by driving from Zürich to Le Brassus. I switched watches a few times to send out a few tweets while on our way to Audemars Piguet. Finally we arrived at the Vallée de Joux. After admiring the landscape we made it to the manufacture and then to the museum. What a day!
The 'rare handcrafts' like enamel, marquetry, engraving …. the ned plus ultra among Patek watches. We know them for their complications and their superb finishingBut not often seen are the 'art' pieces aka 'rare handcrafts'Anyway, this is a book Patek made and afaik they are and were not for sale. But I think they must be very rare, I've seen all kinds of catalogs, big and small, boxes with leaflets, small books for the Nautilus ( 30th anniversary) , little books with 20 or so pages about their in-house chrono movements …..But this … this was new to me.I had never seen this magnificent book dedicated to the rare handcraftsA pretty big (155 pages) book about enamel, marquetry, engraving …. clocks, watches, pocket watches …To give you an impression , here are some picturesBad pictures I know :-) but at least you can see a few pages LOLLike said, I didn't knew such a book existedblue hard cover , and inside the 'Rare Handcrafts book'
