I Believe Rolex Prices Are Getting Ridiculous
This comes to my head based on two threads: John's post about Rolex price increases, and the thread in the general section about what watch you would get for $5000. I thought about what watch I would buy for 5k, and since I am a Rolex fan above all other brands, I immediately thought "thats easy! I'd get a datejust." Not so fast though. Let us assume, as I am comfortable doing, that John has reliable information, and then let us pretend that it is a few months from now, after the increase has taken place, and then ask yourself the same question. Now picture yourself walking into an AD and saying I'd like to look at Rolexes for 5k and under. Guess what, you have one option, the Air King. $5000 gets you a 34mm stainless steel Air King (I love this watch so AK owners don't take that as an insult).I have a feeling that many of you will not agree, but in my mind, something is wrong with this picture. I am looking at getting a yacht master and this would be my first rolex. I have several Omega that are 41 to 45mm in size. How does the mid size up to these and would it be to small for a man to wear? In other words do the Rolex watches seem larger or smaller than the dimensions and how does the Mid size up to the Normal size?

RO Tourbillion Chrono
Bought this piece recently and it is not a daily wearer. Just wound it and the Tourbillion nor Chrono is moving. Watch is like dead. Do u need to take it to a AP service center or is this something that can easily be fixed locally. Pls advise. Quite pissed.
