Graham 2AFAS.B05A.C01B wrist watches news:
I've heard that the profits of Rolex all go to a foundation of some sort. I would like to if 1)that rumor is true, and 2) what does that foundation support? Thank you for your thoughts and input.
Went to a little garage sale today, and I think I found some neat ones for the collection!I found a little baggie of watches for 2$, heck, you can't beat that! The Timex's and Jules Jurgenson watches aren't that old, I'll probably donate them to Goodwill or somethingThe main reason I got the baggie was for the Wyler. It's a swiss-made watch, I like the square design. and I was surprised to find out that it's an automatic! It runs tooThe ladies Hamilton is neat. I think it's from the 1960's? Good shape for the time, and it runs aswell.
I am wearing one of my favorite recent acquisitions today, a 2538.20. I lusted for this watch for about 10 years. Picked it up about 6 weeks ago in 95% condition ($1700 shipped ). Love it!Is it me -- or does it have an extra thick case (and weighty feel) versus other 300M Seamasters.
A modern Patek that polarises opinions probably more than any other, I felt it deserved a better set of photos following my recent incoming, and why not have a new poll to see whether we have turned any of the naysayers into converts!!
O.K., Don't shoot the messenger. I recently learned that Rolex is planning to remove Oyster as a reference to most of their line-up. Apparently they no longer want be viewed as insensitive and this will prevent Shellfish/Bivalves from feeling offended. Has anyone else heard of this newest development? Let the speculation begin...
