Question on winding stem
Hello all,I recently bought a ticino big pilot with the Asian version of the unitas 6497. My question is this, is the winding stem for this the same as the Swiss version? Subsequent to that, will a crown made to fit the Swiss version fit the winding stem on my Ticino?The reason is that the crown on my Ticino is a chrome plated base metal and I want to swap it with another crown. Have any of you had experience with this type of crown or this one in particular and can you attest to its longevity?Thanks, B

New Speedmaster Professional for $2300?
Hey all, I¡¯m looking to buy myself a speedmaster as a Christmas present (buying myself Christmas presents makes me sound like a tool, but I¡¯m not ¨C you understand). I was originally looking at used models, but I would get a new one if the price difference was reasonable. I¡¯m in the military and through some wheeling / dealing, and strategic use of online coupon codes and opening store credit cards, I can get a new Speedmaster Professional for about $2300. To me that sounds like a great deal! However, I¡¯ve never bought a watch new and am by no means a pricing expert. Is this as good of a deal as it sounds like or really nothing out of the ordinary? Kain Heritage Straps' Presentation Wins
I had zero intention of making this thread - I'm certainly not going to create a thread every time I try a new strapmaker, but what started as a Hey, the shipping box branding is cool grew to this packaging is pretty ridiculous especially at this price point and finally became OK, I'm shooting this thing whole hog.I'm impressed. Are the 24hr number markers on the bezel are too big that it seems to look so busy and cluttered? I understand that they’ve changed also the Dial from Maxi Dial from it’s previous predecessors that’s why they’ve increased the size of the numbers on the bezel. I used to own a GMT Black LN, function wise it’s a perfect daily and travel watch but i’ve got tired of it, i’ve sold it and never looked back. Has anyone here thinks that the Tudor BB GMT Pepsi has a better proportions and blending compare to the New Rolex Pepsi? I guess i’m leaning more with the Tudor BB GMT. we’ll see it in a couple of months.
