Girard-Perregaux continues its expansion with the opening of its first American boutique at 701 Madison Avenue, the prestigious home to some of the world¡¯s finest luxury brands. The Leonori building, constructed in 1902 and designated a city landmark, houses Girard-Perregaux between 62nd and 63rd streets. No, this isn't a piece for collectors or us high-end watch snobs. This is a gadget watch and I felt it was worth sharing because of how useful it is to the right people. Most of us have somewhere along the line (or at times) forgotten that watches are about telling the time, and timing purposes. Weird right? The unbelievably straight-forward name of the 'Time Timer" watch shows what this company is all about - "timing time."According to Time Timer, the concept of their watches was to produce timing devices that were more visual, especially for children or people with learning disabilities. Having said that, it has been my experience that visual interpretations of time are excellent for people who have time management problems or when tasks needs to be completed within a certain amount of time (such as a test, presentation, performance, etc..). New Seiko Solar watches
I was in Macy's today and noticed some new Seiko watches in the counter. They looked like standard quartz battery powered lower tier Seikos but said "Solar" just above the 6:00 position. They were small and only 3 Atm. WR. Some were goldtone,steel and goldtone, stainless; there were metal braclets and leather bands. Prices started at $165.00 for the stainless/leather band and $265.00 for the all goldtone model. They were rather unremarkable-probably using cases from standard quartz models. Does anyone know about thesewill there be more up market models?

Just picked up this 118 and first day I'm loving it. The tobacco dial with the grayish look if the brushed Ti case is awesome. I see myself buying straps in the near future!!!
