Per forum rules, I'll make this clear. This is solely for educational value and any discussion (glamorization) of fake watches is frowned upon. I'll begin with what led me here....I have decided that the Milgauss GV is in fact my 'cup of tea' to celebrate my upcoming 40th. Unsure of where to begin, I began a week ago asking the experts: ScottD, JBHII and the Members here what to expect. Mainly on PM and calls around to AD's. I even joined TRF tonight, to read the endless information on my next Rolex. Tonight...to my horror, I google searched images and came up with these...No credit will be given to the website that posted these fake Milgauss GV pictures. The genuine were found on the big Auction site, sorry I can't remember who they belonged to.Undoubtedly, this watch will eventually begin to appear on the big Auction site where fly-by-night Jeweller Stores will box these up and glamorize all the photos you request. Do you ever get in the face of your watch?
Altho I guess I should say that I own "too many" watches now, there are basically only two that get a lot of wrist time, and w/ which I can't imagine ever parting: My Omega 2531.80 Seamaster and Rolex 16610 Submariner Date.So yesterday I was wearing the Seamaster, and it struck me as time to start tearing out some bushes that my wife and I have disliked since we bought our house here. Rough work. And as I was doing it, I thought about taking off my watch, but that bothered me a lot. It felt like I was almost defying it to stop working or get damaged. Not that I was set out to that, or hoping for it (quite the opposite! ). But my thinking was that this is my "life," and my watch should be able to keep up.The more I thought about it, the more I realized that this is a general attitude for me. Like "getting in the face" of my watches by refusing to take them off for the hot tub, et cetera. Of course I know that the fundamental truth is that the "risk" goes only insofar as any potential re

Just strayed from Rolex for the first time. I love this watch. Haven't worn my normal daily DSSD for a month. I got White Gold so as not to be too flashy in corp environment plus working on .gov contracts in sales. Not sure I would have gone yellow gold anyway now that I have some wrist time on it. Was between this and a skydweller, possibly Aquanaut. Stock photo because I don't want to deal with image upload site. Who else has one and any issues to look out for? Watch just came out of warranty. Thanks
