- Great, solid watch for the price. The display is a little light but I got used to it in about a day. The watch is simple, masculine and I am totally happy with it!

Vacheron Constantin 25558/000r-9406 wrist watches news:
Its gonna be the 3255-12 aka "small pilot " I know it comes with the set, but only want the 39 mm size. Who's got one for me ?
Finally got a shot I'm happy with...
I just received the wolf viceroy 2.7 single winder. I have it set on 800 tpd. I know the winder is supposed to stop periodocially but it seems like the winder will sometimes go a half a rotation and stop (looks like it's getting stuck). The red light will flash and then sometime later it randomly will start up again and may go 5, 1, 10 or some other odd number of turns and stop again. I have tried it with a watch in it and without a watch and it does the same thing. Is this normal or should it rotate "freely" a number of rotations (a completed cycle) 200 per cycle for 4 cycles till it hits 800 and then stop? Thanks in advance......
I was wondering if any of you fine folks knew anything in relation to Revue Watches from the 1960/70's.I purchased this NOS item from the bay and it arrived today. Its my first non modern watch. Not really very expensive so I wasnt really concerned about the legitimacy of the watch.Anyway, opened the package today and I must say it is a stunning watch. Much smaller than I am used to (36x36). I was looking for a funky casual watch, but its more of a super funky dress watch. Changed the bands and hey presto!Revue.jpgAnyway, anyone with any info (I have found next to nothing other than the Revue Thommen web site), please let me know. Also, I have no idea how to get the caseback off its an absolute mystery!
I remember maybe a year ago responding to a Boscoe post where he'd stated how he was becoming less interested in watches. I don't remember the exact wording, but the gist was that he went to look at his then grail watch (50 fathoms?) and left wholly disillusioned. I think somehow I've found myself in the same or similar situation. Where are the watches that can recapture the passion I once had? There isn't anything out there that catches my imagination anymore. I used to love watches. I'd go blocks out of my way to walk by different ADs and scope the case or talk shop. I don't feel inclined to do so anymore. Sure, there are lots of nice watches with movements, case details, and exotic materials, but where is the watch that I MUST HAVE? Where's the watch I'd rather have over a very nice 2 week vacation? I haven't seen a watch like that in a long while. Certainly not since my GMT-IIC. Part of this I suppose is that these things are getting really expensive now (along with ever
