A.Lange Sohne 410.025 wrist watches news:
Cartier has introduced more than 100 new watch references at SIHH 2015. One of the most interesting is the Rotonde de Cartier Reversed Tourbillon, a watch whose unconventional flying tourbillon is displayed on a minimalist, sunburst-guilloch¨¦ dial with an off-center hours and minutes display. The Cartier Rotonde de Cartier Reversed Tourbillon watch carries on the tradition of guilloch¨¦ work that has been a hallmark of Cartier products since Pierre Cartier began using the technique in his workshops after his journey to Russia and discovery of Faberg¨¦ creations. On watch dials, the motif used most often is “radiating” guilloche, with engraved rays from a central point. The dial of this Rotonde de Cartier watch is made of non-rhodium-finished white gold; the effect of the sunray guilloch¨¦ pattern on the material is to create an eye-pleasing pattern of shiny beams of light.?The dial’s other attraction, of course, is the reversed flying tourbillon and its bridges, with the
Is "Konstantin Chaykin" like the dark version of "Vacheron Constantin?" At very least the name sounds like the Russian version but then again "Konstantin Chaykin is a Russian name. While most of his work is in the clock category, Konstantin Chaykin now debuts a fascinating timepiece that he called the Lunokhod. The watch focuses on its novel moon phase indicator, and has a really interesting design that seems to fit with the brand's motto "religion of time" (sounds creepy, I know).Konstantin Chaykin is a very accomplished watchmaker and is a member of the AHCI (where all the coolest indy watch makers want to be!). He seems to specialize in complex calendar clocks, so I recommend you check out his website for some neat stuff. The Lunokhod watch is something else entirely. The name means "moon walker" and it is his homage to Michael Jackson. No, that's a joke. It refers to a Russian un-manned lunar lander that went to the moon in 1970. It also happens to look a bit like Jules Verne sci-f
Hi there, I've been browsing this forum on and off for a few weeks now and would like to get into watches a bit more seriously than I previously have. To date I've pretty much just bought run of the mill quartz watches and want to get my first mechanical watch. I don't really want to be spending more than $150, and would like to get one with a skeleton case back. However I've looked through some of these threads and haven't quite found what I want. I've found a number of resources but want to make sure I get a good deal as well. I've checked out Orient watches as I saw one in a previous thread but they don't have the type of style I want with a skeleton case back. Please let me know what you guys think, I'd prefer a modern watch to start (for everyday use), and would like to consider buying a few vintage ones for occasional use as well. Any and all help is appreciated! Thanks all!
I was just curious, how my Emergency version 1 (yellow face) would look with the PVD coating.. I personally think it will look pretty gooddo we have any photoshop experts here, that may want to attempt this ?
Hello everyoneI'm looking to add to my collection (have Rolex, Omega and Tag), specifically a manual wound watch. I'm considering adding a speedmaster or a 8 day Panerai with the p.5000 calibre. The speedmaster movement is proven and basically bullet proof, while there are a few people who have in the past complained about the p.5000.For those who have the p.5000 movement, hows it been? Any issues? Am I better off with a Panerai with a 3 day eta (same PR as speedmaster, easier to fix perhaps?) I like the idea of an 8 day PR, wind it on Sunday and forget about it till the following weekend. The other option is a IWC, JLC or the Panerai with the JLC 8 day movement I suppose. So, what say you?
