- Watch works great; all functions work fast except the thermometer. The thermometer works, but on a delay. I have to take off the watch so my body heat doesnt affect the thermometers reading. The watch is easy to recalibrate.

Vacheron Constantin Vacheron Constantin 2198 wrist watches news:
Very soon ultra high-end watch maker Greubel Forsey will begin to fully release a new limited edition of watches made in participation with micro-sculptor artist Willard Wigan. The watches will be known as "Greubel Forsey Art Pieces," and seem to be numerically numbered. The relationship might seem a bit strange at first but begins to make more sense as you think more about it. Wigan is known for making tiny art under a microscope. He is most well-known for creating scenes and figurines on the heads of nails and in pin holes. His creations take a lot of time and he is among the only people in the world who can do what he does. The watch makers at Greubel Forsey make mechanical art creations under a microscope, hand-assembling and decorating parts with incredible detail. They are among the few people in the world that can do what they do.My friend Joelle Diderich over at WWD in Paris gave a nice scoop on the collection. Her report sheds light on what Greubel Forey has planned. They anno
I recently discussed the Arlanch watch, another Swedish timepiece. That watch and this "Dragon" from Gustafsson & Sj?gren (who call themselves GoS for short) couldn't be more opposite. One a distinct bore (Arlanch), while this one (GoS) a distinct work of art. Their real contribution to the work of horology is their uses of Damascus steel that they develop themselves. You might not like all the watch they do, but you have to admire their talent and dedication to their artistic pursuit. What started as a talent for collector's knife making eventually found its way into working on watches. They have a few models, each similar in tone with the specially created and polished metal being the main attraction. Plus, all the Damascus metal they make is done by hand. The Dragon model has a dial done in the pattern of what looks like bubbles under a microscope, with the shape of a dragon in the center. It is all done with the pair's special metal working magic. Damascus steel is essentially l
So, I'm going to have my Wakmann triple date chrono serviced soon. The case shows some plating wear and I want to have it replated. Has anyone had to do this and any idea how many microns I should have applied?

When Rolex released the new Datejust 36 this year at Baselworld much to my disgust they have decided on using a sporty oyster clasp on the jubilee bracelet just like the DJ 41 and new jubilee GMT Pepsi and are phasing out the beautiful super jubilee. Why oh why are they making dress watches with sports watch clasps on them it baffles me and makes them look worse IMO. In my mind a Datejust jubilee should have a beautiful continuous bracelet just like the presidential. So I¡¯ve been wanting a Datejust 36 for many years now and because of Baselworld and those new TT DJ¡¯s with that new clasp I decided I needed to get myself a super jubilee before the SS ones are updated next year. So yesterday I went to my local AD in the UK and purchased a stainless steel and fluted bezel 116234. The salesperson told me this is the last one they have and they have now been discontinued already! (even though a replacement wasn¡¯t even announced this year) and Rolex won¡¯t let them order any more in.I would lo
