Vacheron Constantin Vacheron Constantin 1864 wrist watches news:
You no doubt have been reading a few articles on here about female watches and thought to yourselves that the tone doesn't quite sound like me. Hopefully at that point you noticed that the author of the blog article was not me, but rather the newest addition to aBlogtoReadwatches-dealer; who will regularly be commenting on the watch world in addition to myself. So please welcome Molly McDermott, who is here to bring a different perspective to watch appreciation.Molly is a veteran of the watch industry? - an experience that gives her a special insight and perspective on how to view and discuss the nicer things in life (that you can buy). Starting with bridal wear and the jewelry, she ended up working with luxury watches, until recently - but the passion and interest remains. It doesn't hurt that she is quite opinionated and energetic as well. You can be sure that she'll be honest with her thoughts but come at concepts with a tasteful and discerning eye. As you know my watch is on the way to NYC Rolex for some treatment. But,, I called again today and asked about the warranty. The customer service said what the young lady said yesterdayRolex will only do warranty repairs for the original owner of the watch.I asked her,, what abt a watch bought from a secondary AD or if I bought from a friend. They both said that the original owner must ship it in,, the name on the warranty card or the warranty paper.I made up several scerarios and was told the same thing over and over.Scary because most things that expensive have a transferable warranty, ie, car, house, etc.A plus for buying at an ADA minus for the ones wanting to save a few bucks and buying used watches off friends or off the internet or from a place like Swiss Luxury or Furman.I was shocked that the warranty isnt transferable between people.Again ,, i am just passing on what they stated, I dont agree but thats the policy of Rolex in NYC.Donps. I was thinking about a way around this m
A while ago, I decided that I wanted another Moonwatch, having flipped one a few months ago. Not just any Moonwatch, though - an early to mid-90's late tritium dial, perfect case and complete package. The tritium would need to be dark, and everything about it pristine.I thought that I'd have a pretty long wait because I really am a fussy sod when it comes to my watches; anyone who's bought one from me will probably testify to that. What I wasn't expected was to find the precise watch I was looking for almost immediately. Not only that, but a watch with 100% provenance, having been owned by a member of TZ-UK's father for five years from new, and then by the seller himself until he decided to let it go. I bought it barely daring to hope that it was the watch I was looking for, but it arrived today and it really is... perfect. A reference 3590.50 from 1995, with the loveliest dial I've seen on a Speedy. In fact, it's the loveliest Moonwatch I've seen.Enjoy the photos...
Hi, I recently purchased a new medici with orange stitch and installed it on my PO. I am a fan of curved end straps cuz I think the gap between the spring bars and lug is way too big (am I the only one who thinks so?) and have been thinking about OEM rubber but my small wirst (16.5mm) can't take OEMs so changed my streeing wheel. I want the buckle to be in the middle of my wrist and medici is the best option for me.My first impression on medici is that the leather is super soft and the colored stitch easily kills boredom. I decided not to cut the fixed keeper and leave the fang (upside down position) so that it fills the hole. Here are some photos. thanks for looking,JW in Vancouver
Hello fellow degenerates:First Panerai Purchase - originally wanted a 00537 a few years back, other pieces/brands took my interest away. Then turned to the 00688 which I couldn't get my hands on (discovered it just after they all sold out), and was then holding out for the 01537. While waiting for this....... I discovered the 00728. Switched to a Blue Rubber Strap (originally was going to do Black but the Blue has a lot more character and I have a bunch of Black rubber bands for other pieces)and bought a Black/Ecru Calf Assulmante to swap since I'm not really loving the Blue Alligator. Love the watch and the ultra thin (Panerai ultra thin...) Due piece. This will get some heavy wrist time!
