$360.00 to fix my MIYOTA movement?
I have a 10 year old Citizen ss chrono w/ a dive bezel that just stopped working, I thought it was a battery, so I gave it to my local jeweler, and he said water must have got into it and messed up the movement and it would be $360.00 to fix it. The watch was about $200.00 10 years ago, but it does has sentimental value, I'm stumped! Opinions?

Reflections of a Rolex to AP convert
Over the years, if Rolex made it, I owned it. As in probably a dozen different models mostly in the SS sport line. As a younger man, to me it represented the pinnacle of prestige. Rolex is oh so awesome at marketing. In the last few years I have acquired a taste for something different, not in small part due to the fact that it seemed that every schmo out there sporting a Submariner or a 20 year old Date Just with an awful after-market diamond bezel thinks they are big time. You can sense it in some (disclaimer....not all) on the various Rolex forums. It's the look at me, look at my car, obnoxious new money (or not) mentality.So long story short....I recently picked up a new AP Diver. I wear it every day. It's heavy. That took a bit of getting used to. The finish and craftsmanship are world class. The movement is a work of art. It's a consistent +5 seconds per day which, although not thrilled, I can live with until serviced for my 3rd year additional warranty. I think what I like best

Omega SMP 300m: Real or Fake
I'm wondering if I made a mistake: I bought a Seamaster Pro 300m 2250.80.00 off eBay. What wasn't advertised was there were no boxes, cards, manual, nada - just the watch. I've had one before and it looks real, but a couple of things came up as red flags. first it was advertised to fit an 8 wrist (I have a 7 1/2 and it's tight). This could be an honest mistake, so I'll that one go. Then I notice that after wearing it for a day, it was stopping when I took it off and let it sit for a few hours. It's supposed to have a 44 hour power reserve. Then I started looking at the back and there is no serial number. This could have been filed off as grey market dealers were doing that for a while.No red dot but I don't know if they were on this model. I don't recall from the one I used to own (that came from Watchmaxx and had everything but the warranty card). Also, the little imprinted diver helmet or whatever is not there. I saw another 300m on eBay that didn't have this emblem, so again, I don'

PO Liquidmetal I and II
I was looking for a tough daily beater to give my DJII a break. I couldn't decide between the Rolex Submariner Ceramic and Omega Planet Ocean. I like the Sub because of the new ceramic bezel and liked the PO for it's modern style. Flew to the US to visit my AD but was told that the PO was out of stock. Tried on the Sub-C but it felt small when compared to my DJII. So it looks like I was going home empty handed until my AD brought out a box containing the PO LM. Right off the bat, my AD offers me the PO LM for the same price as the PO so I do not have to wait 8 weeks for the PO. My lucky day! The best of both worlds. A ceramic/liquidmetal bezel and the contemporary styling of the PO. The deal was too good to pass up so I asked if I could buy 2. Unfortunately my AD had already sold 5 and only had 1 left but a quick phone call to Omega North America President and a 2nd PO LM was on its way to my AD. 3 days and almost $8,000 later I have 2 PO LMs in my hands. Loving the watch. I'm in a pro
