I am curious as to which watch you guys would go for, given that price restriction? I came up with $6k because it seems like a Rolex Explorer II in very good condition can be easily had for that- maybe closer to $5k in a lot of places. I think of that watch as a modern benchmark- in my unlearned opinion, at any rate- for a good GMT watch.I think that the watches I'd consider would be the Explorer II, the SMP GMT, the Speedmaster GMT, the Sinn U2, and the Alt-1Z, naturally. Of the above, I'd like the Bremont for graceful execution and sheer X-factor purposes (although I don't think it's the best as far as readability), or the Sinn because it appears to be simple and built hell-for-stout. The Sinn is also the cheapest! What am I leaving out here? A pre-loved Panerai? A Glycine Airman? What are your thoughts? I am basically just past the novice-phase of watch enthusiasm, so I am confronted with the fact that in some cases, I don't know what I don't know.
This forum is really dangerous for bank acc, especially the AP section From the current AP model, the one that attracts and reachable for me to buy is the 2011stainless steel model. I bought it from my friend who has just started his watch trading business. Guess what? I'm his first customer! Here are some of the wristshot, more pictures coming soon.
I had a desire to add a little sparkle to my life and was offered an interesting proposition:Rolex Gold GMT II 116718 in trade for my steel 44 novelty 26400.After initially rejecting the offer...I'm having some second thoughts.I would love to upgrade the steel for the RG 44 Novelty, but its just not in cards, budget wise.I would still have my AP fix in the form of my FC diver Thoughts ? Comments ?
