Yesterday we talked about the new Montblanc Heritage Chronométrie Annual Calendar Chronograph, and today we are taking a look at the new Montblanc Chronométrie Collection Twincounter Date wristwatch – an equally elegant, well-made, and affordable watch to be officially released at SIHH in a few weeks.? 1 OF 2 Montblanc, as you may know, has had quite a major resurgence in recent years in their design and quality. As Ben mentioned yesterday, Montblanc CEO Jerome Lambert pulls a lot of his inspiration from his time at Jaeger LeCoultre and A. Lange & Söhne, and that is apparent in the design

SMP non-xo-axial, or new Bond?
What would you do?From my local AD I can get an SMP old stock non-co-axial for $1,600 CDN (discounted off the $2,300 retail); or the new co-axial Bond for $2,900 or so.For overall look and lume, I prefer the SMP, with the sword hands and bar indices. However, the round indices and skeleton Bond hands are growing on me.The movement is what is troubling me mostly. Is the co-axial worth the money effectively?I already have a 2-year old PO black 45 mm, which I bought off a buddy, so I already have the co-axial.I know I can count on you guys for some sage advice. Or if not sage, something entertaining!

I seen and had to have the SUNOO7 also. I have some questions what is the TiCN coating and after wearing for 2 days the power reserve does not go over 5 min. is this normal?ThanksBrian

Historically, the role of the detent escapement in the search for chronometry is more important even than that played by the tourbillon.
