Good afternoon, first post ever on this or any other watch forums. I am looking to purchase a PO 42mm and have a few questions after reading some of the posts referencing the anti-glare coating and how it scratches easily, now I will not be wearing my new PO to any activities besides the office and casual wear but I need to ask what owners of this particular watch have to say about this. The Stales' Modern Hamilton Challenge - Revisited
Long term inmates will recall my intention to acquire a modern Hamilton a year or two ago (see <<HERE>>). The selection criteria were that the watch must be handsome, have some complications but be simple of dial (I don't like clutter and my aging eyes can't see small dates or tachymiler type complications), robust, waterproof and preferably with a metal bracelet because leather is a waste of time in the African bush. At the time I had rejected a rubber strap because of the lack of breathability and NATO straps because - well - I just don't like them. With lots of input from forum colleagues the decision was to go for the Khaki Conservation GMT:However, nearly two years on I haven't splashed out for this watch yet. Money was an issue for a long time or I repeatedly found an excuse to buy another vintage or several for the same bucks.
